It's been known for months that part of BOB ROMANIK's INSANE BROADCASTING COMPANY's plans for Country-News-Talk KQQZ-A/ST. LOUIS would be the return of KEVIN SLATEN, most recently at crosstown MARKEL MEDIA Sports KFNS-A, for a non-Sports talk show (NET NEWS 8/15), and the ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH reports that SLATEN will be back starting MONDAY (12/5) with a 7-9a (CT) talk show as part of a new all-Talk lineup at KQQZ.
ROMANIK will continue his own show, and the lineup will also include WESTWOOD ONE's MICHAEL SAVAGE and JIM BOHANNON, PREMIERE's GLENN BECK, and COURTSIDE ENTERTAINMENT's LAURA INGRAHAM. ROMANIK memorably ripped SLATEN as the "queen of radio" and a "rotten bastard and an obnoxious son-of-a-bitch" when SLATEN left KQQZ in 2013 to go to crosstown Sports WGNU-A, but ROMANIK, who recently battled the POST-DISPATCH over its criticism of his language and treatment of a political opponent during his losing race for the ILLINOIS House of Representatives, said that the battle was forgivable as long as the combatants left each other's family out of the war of words.
