A Year Worth Celebrating

No matter how great 2016 might be going for you, it probably still pales in comparison to the year GARTH BROOKS is having, especially during the last 30 days or so. He won the coveted COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) Entertainer of the Year award last month (NET NEWS 11/3) and was just named the sixth-highest earning musician for the year ending JUNE 1st with $70 million, according to FORBES (NET NEWS 12/5). He and wife TRISHA YEARWOOD have been all over TV lately, and his core business – selling records – also appears to be going fabulously.

According to a BUZZANGLE list of top-selling Country albums for the week ending THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1st, BROOKS owns the first three slots, with “GARTH BROOKS: The Ultimate Collection;” “CHRISTMAS Together,” recorded with YEARWOOD; and his latest album, “Gunslinger,” respectively. Additionally, his previously released album, “The Ultimate Hits,” showed up, too, ranking #10 on the BUZZANGLE list.
