Alpha Media's KKIQ, KKDV/Far East Bay, CA, Collect $4k In Toy Radiothon

ALPHA MEDIA AC  KKIQ/EAST BAY, CA, and AC KKDV/DIABLO VALLEY, CA, hosted their 3rd annual WAYNE COY’s TOYS RADIOTHON on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2nd, collecting over 850 toys and $4,050 for SLEEP TRAIN FOSTER KIDS. 

"Hometown Morning" host WAYNE COY, along with KKIQ/KKDV’s MEL McKAY, broadcasted live for 12 hours from the local TOYS R US, encouraging listeners to donate new, unwrapped toys for local foster children.  Numerous guests from the community took part, including former DUBLIN, CA, Mayor, TIM SBRANTI and ALAMEDA COUNTY Supervisor SCOTT HAGGERTY. 

Commented ALPHA MEDIA Market Manager PHIL D'ANGELO: “All of us at KKIQ and KKDV felt great being able to use the power of live and local to positively impact these kid’s lives.”
