"The Birds" and "Marnie" star and animal activist TIPPI HEDREN will be guest hosting "Animal Radio," DECEMBER 17th.
Although her most memorable role might be ALFRED HITCHCOCK's "The Birds," TIPPI spent many years playing the role of legislator for exotic animals, influential in creating laws prohibiting pet ownership of tigers and lions.HEDREN lives on the SHAMBALA PRESERVE in ACTON, CA, a sanctuary home to more than 40 big cats abandoned by people who originally purchased them as pets. She just released her autobiography, simply titled "TIPPI." She shares her trials and tribulations, including being mother to MELANIE GRIFFITH and grandma to DAKOTA JOHNSON.
Said "Animal Radio" host HAL ABRAMS: "TIPPI has been a regular guest on the show. She has such a love for the animals that is immediately evident the minute she speaks. We'll find out what it was like raising her actress daughter around lions and tigers."
