PUERTO RICO AM station owner WILFREDO G. BLANCO-PI's petition for rulemaking to allow permanent synchronous AM radio booster transmitters has been opened for comments by the FCC.
BLANCO-PI submitted the petition in JANUARY in comments as part of Docket 13-249, the AM Revitalization docket, and complained in a follow-up letter to AM Branch Chief PETER DOYLE that the Commission had ignored his concerns and instead sent him a letter on NOVEMBER 7th that his licenses for three boosters for WAPA-A/SAN JUAN were being canceled effective MAY 7, 2017.
The Commission has responded by opening the petition for public comment, due within 30 days of NOVEMBER 29th.
