WYCD/Detroit Raises $551K For St. Jude Children's Research Hospital In Radiothon

CBS RADIO Country WYCD/DETROIT raised $551,272 for ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL in its 16th Annual "99.5 WYCD COUNTRY CARES FOR ST. JUDE KIDS RADIOTHON" last THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8th and FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9th. Several donations were dedicated to WYCD's own LINDA LEE, who was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer a few months before the radiothon (NET NEWS 9/6); LEE called in from her chemotherapy session on THURSDAY urging listeners to pledge $20 per month to ST. JUDE.

Also appearing at the radiothon was MCA NASHVILLE artist KIP MOORE, who was playing the FILLMORE DETROIT on THURSDAY night and stopped by to lend his support.
