Trial Set For Engineer Accused Of Defrauding Chicago College Radio Station

A trial in the case of former COLLEGE OF DU PAGE noncommercial Jazz WDCB/CHICAGO engineer JOHN J. VALENTA has been set for FEBRUARY 28th, reports the CHICAGO TRIBUNE.

VALENTA will stand trial for allegedly stealing over $100,000 from the school over the years by submitting fake invoices for his BROADCAST TECHNOLOGIES company; VALENTA was convicted in 2011 of similar actions at ELMHURST COLLEGE, for which he was fined and placed on two years' probation.  VALENTA allegedly told police that he did so because he felt he should have been a full-time employee and needed the money to support his six children.
