WBRN/Tampa Drops Bubba The Love Sponge, Goes All-Christmas In Advance Of Format Flip

BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE is out at his flagship station, BEASLEY Rock WBRN (98.7 NO RULES ROCK)/TAMPA, which is "undergoing a format adjustment," the company said in a terse press release issued MONDAY morning (12/12).

The release said, "BEASLEY MEDIA GROUP has decided to make a format adjustment on WBRN-FM in TAMPA, FLORIDA.  As a result of this decision, The BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE Show will no longer be carried by BEASLEY in the TAMPA, FLORIDA market.   BEASLEY looks forward to continuing its relationship with BUBBA and The BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE Show on WRXK (96K-ROCK) in FT. MYERS, FLORIDA.

The station is currently playing commercial-free CHRISTMAS music as "SANTA 98.7" in advance of a format flip.  Stay tuned....
