The government is considering charges against SNOOP DOGG after authorities discovered a 21-inch collapsible baton in his luggage as he boarded a NEW YORK-bound flight. SNOOP, whose real name is CALVIN BROADUS, had the baton in his laptop case as he went through security at JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT in CALIFORNIA on SEPTEMBER 27th. SNOOP claimed the baton was a prop for a movie he was filming in NEW YORK.
DISTRICT ATTORNEY spokeswoman SUSAN KING SCHROEDER said her office received the report on MONDAY (10/23) and that prosecutors had not yet decided whether or not to charge SNOOP, who was not arrested.
This was the second time SNOOP had problems with airports and flights. In MAY he accepted responsibility for using “threatening words or behavior” in an incident at HEATHROW AIRPORT in LONDON. SNOOP DOGG and five others were arrested or detained for violent disorder and starting a brawl after some members of the rapper’s party were refused entry to BRITISH AIRWAYS first-class lounge.
