TRITON DIGITAL today unveiled its monthly Top 20 Ranker for OCTOBER 2016 revealing the month's top streaming audio providers, as well as insights into listening trends.
Key findings from the Ranker include:
- All measured clients within the Domestic U.S. reported a total of 4,867,790 Average Active Sessions (AAS) during the MONDAY-FRIDAY 6a-8p daypart, and 4,015,202 AAS during the MONDAY-SUNDAY 6a-Midnight daypart.
- Peak streaming hours are different for weekdays and weekends: weekday peaks just before and after lunch, while weekend listening is steady between 11a and 1p before gradually declining in the afternoon.
- The biggest month-to-month gainer by format was AC with a 9.55% jump, folowed by Urban at 8.7%. The election did not help News-Talk and Talk, which followed last month's gains with a 4.53% and 4.88% decrease, respectively.
- In the top 15 markets, MIAMI showed the biggest gain with a 9.6% increase, followed by PHOENIX at 7.04%.
