CBS RADIO Country KMLE/PHOENIX's fifth annual “KMLE Country Cares For ST. JUDE Kids Radiothon” raised $314,520 for ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1st and FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2nd. KMLE personalities CHRIS MATTHEWS, NINA D., B-DUB, and PRODUCER BADGER called on listeners to become Partners in Hope and donate $20 per month to the cause. Since its inception, the radiothon has raised over $1.2 million for ST. JUDE.
“We want to thank the KMLE Nation for the astounding support for ST. JUDE. The outpouring from the PHOENIX community surpassed our expectations,” said CBS RADIO PHOENIX VP of Programming TIM RICHARDS. “We’re honored to work with ST. JUDE.”
ST. JUDE Regional Development Representative ALSAC Field Operations JESSICA NUTTALL said, “Unlike any hospital, the majority of funding for ST. JUDE comes from individual contributors who participate in programs like the ST. JUDE Kids Radiothon. Thanks to the support from KMLE and the KMLE Nation, families will never receive a bill from ST. JUDE for treatment, travel, housing or food, because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.”
