The FCC has denied an Application for Review of the denial of an informal objection to the license renewal of PACIFICA noncommercial Variety WBAI/NEW YORK by DANIEL MILLER.
MILLER objected to WBAI programming about an escaped fugitive who MILLER says was called a "hero" on the station. The Media Bureau denied MILLER's objection on First Amendment grounds, and the Commission noted that the Application for Review repeats the same argument and that it "will not take adverse action on a license renewal application based upon the subjective determination of a listener or group of listeners that the station has broadcast purportedly inappropriate programming."
