ROBERTFEDER.COM reports that the WFMT RADIO NETWORK, based at WINDOW TO THE WORLD COMMUNICATIONS Classical WFMT/CHICAGO, will revamp and relaunch its syndicated jazz overnight format THE JAZZ NETWORK on JANUARY 10th.
New hosts JOHN HILL, NEIL TESSER, DEE ALEXANDER, and DAVE SCHWAN will join the network and will be heard for 63 hours per week; the service has been offered for decades via the WFMT RADIO NETWORK and PRX, mostly with original host BOB PARLOCHA, who passed away in 2015, and GREG BRIDGES and LEE THOMAS have been the most recent hosts. Plans to air the programming locally in CHICAGO are "in development," according to FEDER.
