COLDPLAY and DRAKE celebrated SPOTIFY milestones this week.
COLDPLAY has earned the title of most streamed band of all time on the service, with five billion tracks streamed (more than a billion of which were for tracks from their current album, "A Head Full Of Dreams"). The band marked the occasion with an exclusive new release, "Live From SPOTIFY LONDON," a stripped-down five-track performance available for streaming now, recorded in front of a small audience at SPOTIFY’s LONDON HQ last month.
Meanwhile, DRAKE, courtesy of his "One Dance" featuring WIZKID and KYLA, became the first artist to stream one billion plays on the service. That announcement came just days after DRAKE took all three top spots on APPLE MUSIC's year-end Top 25 Albums chart, with "Views" topping RIHANNA’s "ANTI," ADELE’s "25," FRANK OCEAN’s "Blonde" and JUSTIN BIEBER’s "Purpose."
