CHESAPEAKE-PORTSMOUTH BROADCASTING Gospel WTJZ-A (JOY 1270)/NEWPORT NEWS-HAMPTON, VA is rebranding with the arrival of its new FM translator simulcast on the former W214BJ/MURFREESBORO, NC (moving to 104.9 FM in HAMPTON, VA). 

The NEWPORT NEWS DAILY PRESS reports that the station will rebrand as PRAISE 1270AM/104.9 FM on JANUARY 3rd, with "GET UP! MORNINGS WITH ERICA CAMPBELL" in mornings, DOC CHRISTIAN and TL CHISHOLM middays, the syndicated WILLIE MOORE JR. for afternoons, and "THE NIGHTLY SPIRIT SHOW" with DARLENE MCCOY in evenings.
