Edgewater Sells Four FM Translators To Elohim Group

EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is selling K256BJ/BORGER, TX; K233CX/NOGALES, AZ; K288FK/CLOVIS, NM; and K222BM/MOAPA, NV to ELOHIM GROUP CORP. for $20,000 each.  The translators will rebroadcast Spanish Religion KXZX-LP/JUILLIARD, TX, KZYU/WELLTON, AZ, KZTU/TUCUMCARI, NM, and KZYU again, respectively.

In other filings with the FCC, DAVID R. MAGNUM is selling W222AU/BELOIT, WI to SCOTT THOMPSON's BIG RADIO for $50,000, settling a dispute involving THOMPSON filing an objection to the sale of the construction permit for W239CD/BELOIT to MAGNUM by SISTER GRACE, INC. and suing SISTER GRACE, INC. to enforce an earlier deal for that translator; THOMPSON will withdraw the objection to the W239CD deal as part of the settlement. MAGNUM acquired W222AU from STARBOARD MEDIA FOUNDATION for $10,000 earlier this year. W222AU will rebroadcast News-Talk WBEL-A (THE BIG AM 1380)/SOUTH BELOIT.

SALEM's PENNSYLVANIA MEDIA ASSOCIATES, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for W243BW/AMHERST, NY while it finds a new tower site.

MAPLETON LICENSE OF MERCED, LLC has filed for a Silent STA for K225BB/KING CITY, CA while it moves the facility to MERCED, CA to rebroadcast News-Talk KYOS-A/MERCED.

ALAN BISHOP has closed on the purchase of the 66% of AUBURN BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of News-Talk WAUB-A/AUBURN, NY, Classic Rock WLLW (THE WALL)/SENECA FALLS, NY, W241AW/GENEVA, NY, and W251AJ/MELROSE PARK, NY; FINGER LAKES RADIO GROUP, INC., licensee of Country WFLR/DUNDEE, NY, Country WCGR-A (HOT COUNTRY K101.7/104.5)/CANANDAIGUA, NY, and W270BY/WATKINS GLEN, NY; GENEVA BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of News-Talk WGVA-A/GENEVA, NY; LAKE COUNTRY BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of AC WNYR-F/WATERLOO, NY and W245BL/DUNDEE, NY; ROI BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of W283BF/CANANDAIGUA, NY; and Country WFLK (HOT COUNTRY K101.7)/GENEVA, NY from the bankruptcy estate of GEORGE and PATRICIA KIMBLE (GAYLE ESKAY MILLS, trustee) for $1,217,355.

The UNIVERSITY OF NEW ORLEANS has closed on the purchase of K285FF/METARIE, LA from CROCODILE BROADCASTING CORPORATION, INC. for $200,000. The translator will be used to simulcast the HD2 channel of News-Talk WWNO/NEW ORLEANS with a Classical format as "CLASSICAL 104.9."

And the ROBYN HOWELL ESTATE, through Personal Representative TONY HOWELL, has closed on the sale of Silent KHQN-A/SPANISH FORK, UT to SACE BROADCASTING CORP. for $50,000.

Also, the licenses of SUNNYLANDS BROADCASTING, LLC for KBFR/DESERT CENTER, CA and MBM RADIO LAREDO LLC for KAJP/CARRIZO SPRINGS, TX have been cancelled and turned in by the applicants. KBFR has been silent since JANUARY 22nd and KAJP went dark for financial reasons on DECEMBER 7th, 2015.
