SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT has officially released an apology to ''BRITNEY SPEARS and her fans for any confusion" after their TWITTER account was apparently hacked.
A SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT tweet had gone out early YESTERDAY morning, reading: "RIP @britneyspears #RIPBritney 1981-2016," followed with another stating, "britney spears is dead by accident! we will tell you more soon #RIPBritney." Later, a tweet from BOB DYLAN's official TWITTER account was also hacked with the tweet, "Rest in peace @britneyspears"
Responsibility for the faux tweets was claimed by the OURMINE hacking group, which also recently managed to take control of the NETFLIX TWITTER account, as well as those of FACEBOOK CEO MARK ZUCKERBERG, GOOGLE CEO SUNDAR PICHAI and even TWITTER CEO JACK DORSEY. OURMINE was reportedly attempting to market and promote their own security services to prevent such hacking.
