KPLZ/Seattle Returns With 'Today's Best Mix And Throwbacks'

After flipping to an all-CHRISTMAS format back in NOVEMBER (NET NEWS 11/18), SINCLAIR MEDIA Hot AC KPLZ (STAR 101.5)/SEATTLE returned to the airwaves at midnight on MONDAY (12/26) with a new sound playing, "TODAY's BEST MIX AND THROWBACKS!"

Some of the artists being heard on STAR 101.5 range from JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, ELLE KING, MAROON 5 and MEGHAN TRAINOR, to ALLESSIA CARA, DJ SNAKE and ZAYN & TAYLOR SWIFT.  STAR 101.5 will continue to throw some classics from previous decades into the mix including big hits from ROXETTE, NATASHA BEDDINGFIELD, SPIN DOCTORS and BRYAN ADAMS. 

KPLZ PD KENT PHILLIPS tells ALL ACCESS, “We added the term 'THROWBACKS' because of the success of 'THROWBACK THURSDAYS' which we implemented a couple years ago.  We have always played key 80s and 90s gold as part of our mix.  On the current music front we are actually a bit more aggressive on spins than in the past couple of years!"
