While embedded with troops in IRAQ, CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KOA-A/DENVER's STEFFAN TUBBS started a drive to collect soccer balls to send to kids in that country. The drive has collected and distributed over 21,000 balls so far, and now a third phase of the drive has launched with help from the SPORTS AUTHORITY retail chain and LOS ANGELES GALAXY star COBI JONES.
Listeners can donate at any SPORTS AUTHORITY or donate online at www.littlefeet.com, with a goal of 50,000 balls by MARCH 2007. A $10 donation will get a ball to a kid in IRAQ.
