Radio One/Cincinnati 'Refreshes' WOSL & WDBZ

RADIO ONE/CINCINNATI has made several branding changes to its 3-station cluster.  Effective immediately, R&B WOSL (OLD SCHOOL 100.3) will now be branded as “100.3 R&B.” Concurrently,  WDBZ-A rebrands from Gospel/Praise to “SOUL 101.5 & 1230AM.”

The company notes, "100.3 R&B is a natural evolution from OLD SCHOOL 100.3, playing 'R&B and Old School' from artists like R. KELLY, JILL SCOTT, USHER, NOTORIOUS BIG, PRINCE and MARY J. BLIGE. SOUL 101.5 & 1230AM will shift to be SOUTHERN OHIO’s home for 'Motown and Classic Soul,' showcasing artists like THE TEMPTATIONS, STEVIE WONDER , THE O’JAYS, THE JACKSONS and THE SUPREMES."

GM MITCH GALVIN said, “The ability to bring a vibrant music format to the FM side of the dial all the while keeping local media superstars like LINCOLN WARE on the station is something that excites us all!”

OM KENARD “K2” KARTER added, “We couldn’t be more excited about these changes. Not only will they allow us to focus on the music we love, but we get to bring some exciting changes to our everyday programming and give some of our talent new ways to shine.”

Changes to the station schedules include the addition of THE RUSS PARR MORNING SHOW to 100.3 R&B and the move of THE TOM JOYNER MORNING SHOW to Soul 101.5 & 1230AM. The LINCOLN WARE show, Midday personality EMMANUEL LIVINGSTON and WOSL alum FREDD E. REDD will also find a new home on SOUL 101.5 & 1230AM, while K2 will remain on afternoons on the new 100.3 R&B.

• 3–7p K2 IN THE AFTERNOON
• 7p–Mid JOHN MONDS

SOUL 101.5 & 1230AM On-Air Schedule:

• 10a–Noon LINCOLN WARE SHOW
• Noon–3p EMANUEL LIVINGSTON
• 3–7p FREDD E. REDD
• 7p–6a THE SOUL OF CINCY
