iHEARTMEDIA Country KNIX/PHOENIX has added market vet TIM HATTRICK to its morning show effective TODAY (1/9). He joins BEN CAMPBELL and BROOKE HOOVER, in what will be known as the “TIM, BEN & BROOKE SHOW.”
The move marks a return to KNIX for HATTRICK, who previously hosted mornings there from 1998-2007, with former partner WILLY D. LOON, as “TIM & WILLY.” The morning duo handled wakeups in the market for nearly 21 years, beginning with crosstown CBS Country KMLE in 1993. After a short stint in CHICAGO, "TIM & WILLY" returned to PHOENIX for their 10-year run at KNIX, before re-joining KMLE in 2009. They left KMLE in 2012, then streamed the show until 2014.
“I'm thrilled to join BEN and BROOKE and so honored to come home to KNIX,” said HATTRICK. “I look forward to serving PHOENIX again and continuing to build upon the legacy that KNIX has built in the community.” A PHOENIX native, HATTRICK has been honored (with WILLY) with both CMA and ACM awards for Personality of the Year; a MARCONI AWARD: and is a member of the ARIZONA BROADCASTERS HALL OF FAME.
“TIM is a one-of-a-kind talent with terrific relationships with Country music fans, community leaders, and clients,” said iHEARTMEDIA/WEST Division EVP STEVE GEOFFERIES, who also programs KNIX. “He's a natural storyteller and will be an exciting addition to BEN and BROOKE.”
TODAY’s announcement follows last WEEK’s departure of morning co-host MATT MACALLISTER and producer JOE WALLACE (NET NEWS 1/4).
