Corus Q4 Revenues Rise

CANADA-based CORUS ENTERTAINMENT's fiscal fourth-quarter revenues rose 6% year-to-year to C$185 million, with net income up 5% to C$46.6 million (including C$37 million in income tax rate changes and other tax-related items). Radio revenues rose 2% to C$66.3 million, with segment profit flat at C$15.8 million and same-station revenues and profit both up 4%. Growth in VANCOUVER and CALGARY was credited for the revenue increase. Local ad sales fell 4% for the quarter, but national rose 11%.
