G Rock Radio Charity Gets $1,000 Donation From Elvis Duran

UPDATE: PRESS COMMUNICATIONS Alternative WHTG & WBBO (G ROCK RADIO)/MONMOUTH-OCEAN, NJ morning team, BRIAN AND JEN, are weathering torrential rain and winds today (10/12) in a tent on the parking lot of ROCKAWAY BEDDING on Hooper Avenue in TOMS RIVER for their marathon “sleep-in” that will keep them in bed until they raise $50,000 from listener donations for the SUSAN G. KOMEN BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION. One of the contributors was crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WHTZ (Z-100)/NEW YORK morning personality ELVIS DURAN, who called in with a $1,000 donation.

Morning co-host BRIAN PHILLIPS remains positive in spite of the inclement weather and now damp and less than cozy beds. “Our conditions aren’t perfect, but they pale in comparison to the victims of breast cancer and their families, " he said. "If we’re uncomfortable for a few days so that research can make their suffering preventable, I feel that it’s a worthwhile sacrifice. I’m glad we can help the SUSAN G KOMEN FOUNDATION --- although a little less rain couldn’t hurt!”
