A new show billed as "the first E-Sports program for radio" is debuting next month. CHECKPOINT RADIO will launch on FEBRUARY 11th with a two-hour weekly broadcast hosted by NATE BENDER; the show is being produced by LIMIT BREAK RADIO, RSA SPORTS/RICK SCOTT AND ASSOCIATES, and KEVIN GRAHAM's RIPPLE CONTENT.
SCOTT said, "We are excited to debut the first show designed specifically for radio around E‐Sports and gaming. It offers broadcasters the chance to reach a new audience and a new revenue category. This is a huge opportunity as there is significant synergy with the E‐ Sports community and radio."
GRAHAM said, "Sports owners and athletes are investing. Seven figure prize money is being offered. TURNER BROADCASTING and ESPN are broadcasting tournaments. Fans and sponsorship is exploding. Its clear E‐Sports/Video Gaming is on fire. The CHECKPOINT RADIO crew will entertain this passionate fan base each week with their unique insight, opinions and humor that both the expert gamer and novice will enjoy."
BENDER added, "E‐Sports grew from basements, college campuses and net cafes into jam packed stadiums and streams with millions of viewers. It’s the right time to provide a platform for video games, the industry that makes and consumes them and the competitive nature of E‐Sports. It's an honor to even have this kind of opportunity."
