Judge Denies Bubba The Love Sponge's Motion To File Counterclaim Vs. Nielsen, Third Party Suit Vs. Cox (For Now)

A FLORIDA federal judge has denied BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE's motion to file his counterclaim against NIELSEN AUDIO and his third-party complaint against COX MEDIA GROUP and rival TAMPA personality MIKE CALTA, but the syndicated host's motion was denied without prejudice, meaning it can be refiled.

Judge JAMES D. WHITTEMORE rejected the present motion on the basis that too much of the proposed counterclaim was redacted, making it "impossible to determine whether the proposed pleading meets the standard for granting leave to amend...." 

The judge previously denied BUBBA's motion to remove confidentiality protection from some of NIELSEN's material in the case.
