GO VIRAL RADIO, a new music platform playing viral artists from around the world in the mix with current hit songs, has launched today online and on the free GO VIRAL RADIO app for APPLE/DROID, also available in iTUNES Internet Radio and TUNEIN Radio). GO VIRAL RADIO is the first station to be powered by viral artist influencers from around the world and their communities.
GO VIRAL RADIO was founded and operated by longtime radio executives RAY DE LA GARZA (RADIO DISNEY, PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS) and DJ LYNNWOOD (iHEARTMEDIA, EARTHQUAKE MIX).
GO VIRAL RADIO artists each have over 1 million views, streams, subscribers or likes from top social media outlets like YOUTUBE, FACEBOOK, TWITTER or INSTAGRAM. Featured artists include MEGAN NICOLE, JACK & JACK, ALLI SIMPSON, DANIAL SKY, TIFFANY ALVORD, BOYCE AVENUE and MAGGIE LINDEMANN. Successful viral artists that have crossed over to the pop mainstream include JUSTIN BIEBER, CODY SIMPSON and, most recently, SHAWN MENDES,
Commented DE LA GARZA: “Our goal is to promote viral superstar artists from around the world, with no exclusive promotional partner. We are not format-specific, we are what Top 40 was 40 years ago; the hottest combination of Pop, Urban, Rap, Rock and Country. If it’s breaking virally around the world, you will hear it on GO VIRAL RADIO.”
As PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS SVP, RAY DE LA GARZA created FOX SPORTS RADIO with the purpose of staying out of sports play-by-play and concentrating on great talent. He also created the CARSON DALY MOST REQUESTED COUNTDOWN. At RADIO DISNEY, he revamped the entire programming lineup and music direction and in one year grew the listening audience from a weekly cume of 8 million to 33 million.
DJ LYNNWOOD has extensive programming and music knowledge, having run mix shows for KGGI for over a decade, programming several nationally syndicated radio shows, breaking underground formats and innovative tech launches.
