WNYC Studios 'Werk It' Women's Podcast Festival Coming To L.A. October 3rd-5th

WNYC STUDIOS has formally announced the 2017 edition of its WERK IT festival for women in podcasting, and this year's event will be held at the THEATRE AT THE ACE HOTEL in downtown LOS ANGELES OCTOBER 3rd-5th. The two previous WERK IT conferences were held in NEW YORK.
The festival will include a special one-day "Podcast Bootcamp" on audio production and nightly podcast tapings. Among confirmed participants will be "DEATH, SEX AND MONEY" host ANNA SALE, "2 DOPE QUEENS" hosts JESSICA WILLIAMS and PHOEBE ROBINSON, "NOTE TO SELF" host MANOUSH ZOMORODI, PINEAPPLE STREET MEDIA founder JENNA WEISS-BERMAN, "STARTUP" co-host LISA CHOW, "ACCUSED" host AMBER HUNT, "PLZ ADVISE" host MOLLY MCALEER and producer KRISTINA LOPEZ, "TERRIBLE, THANKS FOR ASKING" host NORA MCINERNY, GIMLET MEDIA Creative Dir. NAZANIN RAFSANJANI, VANITY FAIR "A CAST OF KINGS" co-host JOANNA ROBINSON, "THE BRIGHT SESSIONS" creator LAUREN SHIPPEN, "MAKING OPRAH" host JENNIFER WHITE, and the women on NPR's "CODE SWITCH" team.
