PRINCE’s WBR catalog is now available to stream across all digital services.
WARNER BROS. RECORDS Chairman/CEO CAMERON STRANG said, "PRINCE recorded his most influential and popular music during his time with WARNER BROS. and we are deeply aware of our responsibility to safeguard and nurture his incredible legacy. WARNER BROS. is thrilled to be able to bring PRINCE’s music to his millions of fans around the world via streaming services," adding “We’re also pleased to announce our plan to release the remaster of PRINCE's most iconic album, 'Purple Rain,' along with two incredible albums of previously unreleased PRINCE music and two complete concert films from the PAISLEY PARK vault on JUNE 9th."
Webcasters reacted quickly, with iHEARTRADIO’s subscription services iHEARTRADIO PLUS and iHEARTRADIO ALL ACCESS spinning PRINCE tunes. The company noted, "Even without a subscription, fans of PRINCE can check out the original 'iHEARTPRINCE' radio station, including audio on how PRINCE influenced music from some of today’s top performers and clips from PRINCE himself talking about his music and career."
PANDORA told ALL ACCESS, "PRINCE will start spinning on PANDORA today. In addition to social and email marketing campaigns, billboards go up tomorrow in L.A. Last APRIL to celebrate his life, over 1.1 million PANDORA listeners added a PRINCE station and for seven consecutive weeks, he held the number one spot for most artist station adds. To date, over 9 million PANDORA listeners have added a station in his name."
