Condolences to the family and friends of BOB GARRETT, best remembered for his on-air time at WHPT and WYNF/TAMPA, WEBN/CINCINNATI and his long run as half of the ZITO AND GARRETT SHOW on the former Active Rock WJBX (99X)/FT. MYERS, who passed on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12th.

WARNER BROS. RECORDS EVP/GM PETER GRAY told ALL ACCESS, "BOB was a dear friend & deep thinker -- with a powerful spirit and voice for the ages.  This is very sad news for all who knew BOB well, and simply heartbreaking for his family. Please encourage anyone who knew him to participate in - and spread the word of - the Bob Garrett memorial fund which will provide relief to his family at this suddenly challenging time."  

A GOFUNDME page has been set up to help GARRETT's family. On it, we learn, "ROBERT DYLAN (BOB) GARRETT was a radio professional, husband, father and friend to many. BOB worked at such famed radio stations as WHPT, WYNF, WEBN, WJBX and WRXK.  He was one half of the ZITO AND GARRETT SHOW, which quickly rose to become SOUTHWEST FLORIDA's #1 rated morning radio show. BOB had battled respiratory issues for most of his adult life, which he finally succumbed to on FEBRUARY 12, 2017. Your contributions will go directly to BOB's wife, LYNNE, to help with these sudden, unexpected expenses, and towards their son NATHAN's college education."
