CMA Presents CMA Triple Play Awards

The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) presented the CMA TRIPLE PLAY AWARDS at the EIGHTH ANNUAL CMA SONGWRITERS LUNCHEON, which took place YESTERDAY (2/15). The TRIPLE PLAY AWARDS honor those who pen three chart-topping hits in a 12-MONTH period.
CMA presented two AWARDS to ROSS COPPERMAN, who penned six #1 singles. The TRIPLE PLAY recipients were RHETT AKINS, ZAC BROWN, LUKE BRYAN, RODNEY CLAWSON, ZACH CROWELL, DALLAS DAVIDSON, BRETT ELDREDGE, JESSE FRASURE, ASHLEY GORLEY, MATT JENKINS, LUKE LAIRD, HILLARY LINDSEY, SHANE MCANALLY, SHAY MOONEY, JON NITE, COLE SWINDELL, CARRIE UNDERWOOD, and CRAIG WISEMAN.
Additionally, CMA presented the IRVING WAUGH AWARD OF EXCELLENCE posthumously to DONNA HILLEY, former SONY/ATV MUSIC PUBLISHING CEO. "DONNA HILLEY had a deep admiration for songwriters and artists," said CMA CEO SARAH TRAHERN. "She played an instrumental role in so many iconic and legendary careers. Her tenacity, grace, and commitment to this industry won't be forgotten."
