CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO CEO JOHN HOGAN made several "LESS IS MORE" comments during TODAY's CLEAR CHANNEL conference call.
HOGAN said that while no "specific numbers are available, we did carry fewer commercials in 2006 than we did in 2005, yet we had a better yield." In response to a question about 30-second commercials versus 60s, he pointed out that there had been an increased demand for the shorter commercials, including "the five-second adlets and what we call one-second 'blinks.'"
If anything, we should have done it sooner.
Summing up his positive feelings about LIM, he added, "If anything, we should have done it sooner. It's been terrific for both our advertisers and our listeners."
