WSPA/Greenville Delivers Valentines To Children's Hospitals

On MONDAY (2/13), ENTERCOM AC WSPA (MAGIC 98.9)/GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG, SC, teamed up with local dental clinics and visited children at GREENVILLE HEALTH SYSTEM CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL and SHRINERS HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN to deliver VALENTINE'S DAY cards to their younger patients. 

MAGIC 98.9 midday personality SHERI TAYLOR commented, "Words cannot begin to express how moved and touched I am by the outpouring of love and support for the kids this VALENTINE's DAY. We asked the community to help us reach 10,000 cards this year and we were blown away by receiving over 16,000 cards. We had people all over the UPSTATE send in cards for the kids. Every day I would open my email or social pages and see pictures of people from all walks of life making cards. Thank you, thank you, thank you... doesn’t even begin to scrape the tip of the iceberg for what I feel about everyone who shared so much love this VALENTINE's DAY."  

GHS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL Mgr. BURGESS SCOTT commented: “We are thankful to have MAGIC 98.9 partner with GHS CHILDREN’s HOSPITAL for CARD FOR KIDS again this year.  The look on our patients’ faces when receiving the handmade VALENTINE's cards from the community is priceless. MAGIC 98.9 truly is the station that cares for kids!”

GREENVILLE SHRINERS HOSPITAL Dir. Public Relations TRANA PITTMAN added: “We were very excited when we learned MAGIC 98.9 had selected our hospital for their CARDS FOR KIDS campaign.  Receiving a bag full of VALENTINES created especially for them was very special to each of our patients, and turned what might have been a typical day at the hospital into a wonderful surprise.”
