As hinted earlier today on ALL ACCESS, the KIRK & MARK MORNING SHOW (KMS) has left HEARST-ARGYLE Active Rock WIYY/BALTIMORE and will be heard on CBS's crosstown Talk-Alternative hybrid WHFS (FREE FM), beginning early next year. The program will air weekday mornings from 5:30-10a, with a "BEST OF KMS" show on SATURDAY mornings.
CBS RADIO/BALTIMORE VP/Programming DAVE LABROZZI commented, "In every great radio market across America, there is always one morning show that defines a city. There are morning show legends that outlast competitor after competitor and still reign as king of morning drive. In BALTIMORE, the king of mornings is the KMS MORNING SHOW. KIRK AND MARK have been waking up BALTIMORE for 10 years, and we are thrilled to have them on 1057 WHFS."

KIRK MCEWEN said, "I grew up listening to 'HFS. It was always a classy station, and I’m really psyched about it! Professionally, it gives me a chance to grow and to be associated with legendary broadcasters like DON & MIKE."
Added MARK ONDAYKO, "Both KIRK and I are excited to join the CBS family, and we look forward to doing some great radio on WHFS!"
WIYY APD/MD ROB HECKMAN tells ALL ACCESS that the duo were relieved of their duties after a deal with a competing radio group was confirmed. HECKMAN said, "We cannot confirm any details regarding their new home, but we wish them the best in their future endeavors. There are no hard feeelings at all. We just felt it would be best if they said their goodbyes sooner than later."
