MICHAEL WILKINS' SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS MEDIA, LLC is selling Silent KDEL-F and Silent KVRC-A/ARKADELPHIA, AR; Sports KWPS-F (ESPN WPS)/CADDO VALLEY, AR; Country KYXK (KIX 106.9)/GURDON, AR; Silent KZYP-A/MALVERN, AR-K264AU/SHERIDAN, AR; and K229CX/BENTON, AR to MONTE SPEARMAN and GENTRY TODD SPEARMAN's HIGH PLAINS RADIO NETWORK, LLC for $550,000 plus a time brokerage agreement before closing.
In other filings with the FCC, GRACE BROADCASTING SERVICES, INC. is selling WMAK-A/LOBELVILLE, TN and Country WOPC/LINDEN, TN to WILL NUNLEY's NUNLEY MEDIA GROUP, LLC for $100,000.
JEFFREY A. SMITH, GREG BUCHWALD, and ANNE SMITH are selling their 2,500 collective shares of stock in BARABOO BROADCASTING CORPORATION, licensees of AC WRPQ-A, W259BC, and low power TV stations W43DD-D (RETRO TV43), W45DR-D, and W47EA-D/BARABOO, WI, to KELLY MARTINSON a/k/a KORY HARTMAN for $375,000. JEFFREY SMITH will also sign a 36 month consulting agreement for a total of $27,000, during which he will consult for 10 hours for the first year and none after that, plus a 36 month total noncompete.
COMMUNITY TRANSLATOR NETWORK, LLC, debtor in possession, has closed on the sale of K282BL/KANOSH, UT (now K299BU/CEDAR CITY, UT) to CHERRY CREEK RADIO's CCR-ST. GEORGE IV, LLC for $35,000. The buyer is moving the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk KSUB-A/CEDAR CITY, UT.
RED ROCK RADIO CORP. has closed on the sale of Classic Rock KBAJ (simulcast of KQDS/DULUTH)/DEER RIVER, MN to LAMKE BROADCASTING, INC. for $200,000. KALIL & CO. was the broker for the deal.
And EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of K231BB/SHIPROCK, NM to IMMACULATE HEART RADIO's IHR EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING for $1. The buyer's Religion KXXQ/MILAN, NM is the primary station for the translator.
Also, the date for the FCC Administrative Law Judge's hearing to consider the sale by PATRICK SULLIVAN of W238CE/MONTGOMERY, AL to LAKE BROADCASTING, INC. for $1,000, pending since 2012, has now been set for May 2nd. Judge RICHARD L. SIPPEL released the schedule for the hearing and pre-hearing deadlines TUESDAY (2/28). The deal has been held up for the last 5 years due to the buyer being wholly owned by MIKE RICE, the former INDIANA and MISSOURI station owner whose licenses were revoked in 2001 due to his conviction and prison sentence for sex crimes.
