iHEARTMEDIA Sports WOKY-A (THE BIG 920)/MILWAULEE "MIKE HELLER SHOW" afternoon co-host DREW OLSON has moved to middays for a solo show 1-3p (CT) weekdays.
OLSON, the former MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL reporter who joined WOKY from crosstown GOOD KARMA Sports WAUK-A (ESPN 540 MILWAUKEE) last AUGUST, replaces MITCH NEILES, who is moving to an off-air sales position with the iHEART MILWAUKEE cluster and will also fill in on the air. OLSON's show will come with a title sponsor, "THE DREW OLSON SHOW, POWERED BY ONMILWAUKEE.COM," and will feature ONMILWAUKEE.COM writers as well as the JOURNAL SENTINEL's TOM HAUDRICOURT and FOX SPORTS WISCONSIN's BILL SCHROEDER.
“As we continue to grow we are thrilled to add two strong MILWAUKEE brands to THE BIG 920 lineup,” said SVP of Programming TIM SCOTT. “DREW is well known for talking and writing about sports, as well as his interests in music, food, comedy and pop culture which makes him a great fit for our audience.”
“I have been an ONMILWAUKEE.COM fan since the site launched in 1998,” said OLSON, who worked for the site in 2006-10. “I enjoyed great years working there and I cannot wait to reconnect with the staff and collaborate on multiple platforms in new innovative ways.”
“As we continue to expand our footprint and further our engagement in the MILWAUKEE community, partnering with our friend DREW OLSON and the good people at iHEARTMEDIA was an easy choice,” said ONMILWAUKEE.COM Co-Founder/Pres. JEFF SHERMAN.
