Report: MLS' Atlanta United, WZGC (92.9 The Game)/Atlanta Working On Radio Deal

The season is starting on SUNDAY and expansion MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER franchise ATLANTA UNITED doesn't have a radio deal announced as of FRIDAY morning, but the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION reports that the team and CBS RADIO Sports WZGC (92.9 THE GAME)/ATLANTA are working on a deal, "according to a person with knowledge of the discussions who isn’t authorized to speak on the record."
UNITED, which opens its MLS history SUNDAY against NEW YORK RED BULLS at GEORGIA TECH's BOBBY DODD STADIUM, the new squad's temporary home while MERCEDES-BENZ STADIUM is completed, is owned by ARTHUR BLANK, also owner of the NFL's ATLANTA FALCONS, whose games air on THE GAME. A TV deal has been reached with FOX SPORTS SOUTH.
