CRTC Chair Dalfen To Exit

CRTC Chairman CHARLES DALFEN has announced that he will leave the Canadian broadcast regulator at the end of the year, the close of his present and only five-year term at the Commission. 

DALFEN, a communications lawyer who has presided over the regulator during a stormy period that included battles over Internet telephony (similar to the Net neutrality battles in the U.S.) and the revocation of CHOI (RADIO X)/QUEBEC CITY's license, did not give a reason for his decision.
