ABC RADIO NETWORKS SVP/Programming JOHN MCCONNELL gets a profile in TUESDAY's editions of NEWSDAY, detailing his road back from severe injuries to running in SUNDAY's NEW YORK CITY MARATHON.
MCCONNELL broke his neck in a bicycling accident on NOVEMBER 12, 2005 and has made a remarkable recovery to the point of being able to attempt the 26.2 mile run. MCCONNELL will receive an award at the CHRISTOPHER REEVE FOUNDATION's luncheon SATURDAY (MCCONNELL participated in a charity indoor cycling event for the foundation).
