Coupons-For-Voting Ads Pulled In Houston

You can't offer cash incentives for people to vote, so the VIETNAMESE COMMUNITY OF HOUSTON AND VICINITY has pulled radio ads running on LIBERMAN Brokered Vietnamese KJOJ-A and MATTHEW PROVENZANO's Brokered Vietnamese KYND-A/HOUSTON offering $5 coupons for early voting, 

The HOUSTON CHRONICLE reports that the group agreed to pull the offending ads but claimed that the coupon was not the same thing as money and that the coupons were available to nonvoters as well as voters.
