After 10 years at the top of the ratings, MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS AC WJXA (MIX 92.9)/NASHVILLE morning talent KIM LESLIE is leaving the station to join a non-profit organization she has created.
According to LESLIE, “After 10 years in the lead chair of the most successful morning radio show in NASHVILLE, I felt it was time to draw on my experience and my resources to create a foundation that leaves every-one smiling. I am very fortunate to have the full support of my colleagues at WJXA and MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS who have encouraged my professional growth by supporting a transition plan that benefits everyone involved.”
OM BARBARA BRIDGES commented, “KIM has been a major contributor to the success of the station over the past decade. We wish her well and we are pleased to continue working with her while she transitions into this exciting new opportunity. With her tenacity and talent, we are looking forward to seeing where this will lead her.”
Prior to her decade-long run at WJXA, LESLIE spent a good part of her career in Country radio, handling programming and on-air roles with WSM-A/NASHVILLE; crosstown Country WKDF; SIRIUSXM SATELLITE; and WMZQ/WASHINGTON, D.C. She also served as Sr. Mgr./Industry relations for the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION.
Her departure leaves MIX 92.9 searching for a super-star morning talent. Interested parties should send their package to hiremeNashville@mwcradio.com.
