Jack Purcell Named EM.co SVP/Radio Promotion & Marketing

As we first told you this MORNING (3/9) in an ALL ACCESS SPECIAL BULLETIN, BIG MACHINE RECORDS SVP/Promotion JACK PURCELL has left the label to join management company EM.CO as SVP/Radio Promotion & Marketing, reporting to President SCOTT SIMAN. In this newly created role, PURCELL will implement radio strategy for the company's roster, which includes TIM MCGRAW. The deal also includes working with SANDBOX MANAGEMENT clients FAITH HILL and MIDLAND, extending PURCELL's partnership with the BIG MACHINE RECORDS trio. EM.CO and SANDBOX are working together on MCGRAW and HILL's upcoming "SOUL2SOUL WORLD TOUR." The move also reunites PURCELL and HILL; he was a WARNER BROS. regional in the 90s at the onset of her career, and PURCELL took HILL on her earliest promo tours, introducing her to radio.

This announcement follows TODAY's earlier news (see above story) that KRIS LAMB has has succeeded PURCELL as BIG MACHINE RECORDS VP/Promotion (NET NEWS 3/9). PURCELL joined BMLG in 2006 (NET NEWS 1/23/06) as VP/Promotion and was elevated to SVP/Promotion in 2012 (NET NEWS 2/6/12).
