CUMULUS News-Talk KCMO-A-K279BI/KANSAS CITY host TOM BECKA has given a TEDx Talk to explain the role of the media in American life and the differences between "Fake News" and "Real News" (and "Real News with Opinion").

The 13 minute talk at the UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-OMAHA, now available on YOUTUBE, attempts to knock down the image of "The Media" as a monolithic entity working in unison to control the news, offering a historical perspective on the media as messenger, bringing good news and bad to the public, and the truth behind alleged media (and consumer) bias, and explaining how a bumper sticker on a septic tank truck changed his world view.
