In other filings with the FCC, SCOTT THOMPSON's BIG RADIO has requested a Silent STA for W222AU/BELOIT, WI while it applies for a new site.
EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has closed on the purchase of noncommercial KUSP/SANTA CRUZ and translators K206BQ/HOLLISTER, CA, K206BQ/SANTA CRUZ, K217EK/PALO COLORADO CANYON, CA, and K237EV/BIG SUR VALLEY, CA from JOHN W. Also, a deal that was filed and never closed under which FRIENDS OF CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. was selling W232CK/GARY, IN and W272CZ/SHERIDAN, IN to ELOHIM GROUP CORP. for $100,000 has led to a lawsuit by the seller (now called FCR BROADCASTING, INC.) in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of INDIANA (SOUTH BEND Division), alleging that ELOHIM paid its $20,000 down but walked away from the deal with a letter saying it would not proceed and was forfeiting the down payment; FCR wants specific performance to force ELOHIM to complete the transaction, pay the remainder, and take the stations.
