The induction of the Class of 2017 into the RHODE ISLAND RADIO HALL OF FAME is coming up on MAY 4th at TWIN RIVER CASINO EVENT CENTER in LINCOLN, RI.
The 10th annual induction will add BEASLEY Classic Hits WROR/BOSTON afternoon host and SIRIUSXM 70s ON 7 host JAYBEAU JONES (a/k/a JOHNNY DOWD); BOUCHARD BROADCASTING News-Talk WNRI-A-W261CB/WOONSOCKET, RI co-owner and "L'ECHO MUSICAL" host ROGER LALIBERTE; the late talk host and astrologer MYRNA LAMB; CUMULUS News-Talk WPRO-A-WEAN/PROVIDENCE PD TONY MASCARO; former RADIO ADVERTISING BUREAU SVP DICK RAKOVAN; and longtime BOSTON and NEW YORK personality FRANK KINGSTON SMITH.
The ceremony will also honor the late newscaster and radio executive MOWRY LOWE with the SHEPARD Award, iHEARTMEDIA PROVIDENCE with the Station of the Year award in recognition of its multi-station food drive, and WICE-A/PROVIDENCE for Legacy Station of the Year for its Top 40 days.
