KROLL COMMUNICATIONS Classic Rock WRSR (103.9 THE FOX)/FLINT is bringing longtime morning radio personality JOHNNY BURKE back to wakeups. BURKE has been webcasting his morning show, along with his partner for the last 15 years, BLONDIE, ever since they were unexpectedly terminated from their top morning radio show 14 months ago.
BURKE's new show will premiere on MONDAY, MARCH 27th from, 5-10a and be heard weekday mornings on WRSR and be seen on a special Internet TV channel. The show will also include longtime news veteran, HAL MAAS; MLIVE chief meteorologist MARK TORREGROSSA; ART NEIL will be featured as a “Monday Morning Quarterback;" NORM STULZ will join the show on FRIDAYS for "Are You Smarter than a Standup Comedian;" and astrologer MARIA SHAW. Other cast members will be added over time, and may also include members of the cast from the Internet show. “It's a process,” BURKE said. "It'll take some time to take full form.”
WRSR “gets what local radio is all about," he added. "They serve the community in real significant ways, and bring live local voices to the air all day long, and on weekends. Promoting local business and events is at the core of their mission.”
"We’re proud to feature JOHNNY BURKE in the morning and Classic Rock all day," WRSR GM BILL BAILEY said. "This is a great day for local radio."
