WMGC (105.1 The Bounce)/Detroit To Debut New Morning Show

BEASLEY MEDIA GROUP Rhythmic AC WMGC (105.1 THE BOUNCE)/DETROIT has a new morning show.  Debuting on MONDAY, MARCH 27th will be the BIG BOY IN THE MORNING SHOW WITH SHAY SHAY.  BIG BOY, formerly known as CHUNKY, arrives from ALPHA MEDIA Country KUPL (98.7 THE BULL)/PORTLAND, OR.  

BIG BOY was on the air at crosstown iHEARTMEDIA Top 40/Mainstream WKQI (CHANNEL 95.5) from 2006-2009. 

SHAY SHAY, who has been on in the morning at WMGC since JANUARY, commented, "I'm so excited to be working with BIG BOY! We worked together earlier in our careers and had such great chemistry.  He's an amazing talent and I can't wait to wake up DETROIT every morning with an innovative, engaging and entertaining morning show!" 

WMGC PD AL PAYNE added, "This is a BIG THROWBACK to 'good times' for our city! I have been a huge fan of BIG BOY for a long time, yet being able to add him to this station and our cast of BOUNCE Ambassadors is epic!  Out of everywhere he's been, he says that there’s no love like DETROIT love!  If you partied with BIG BOY from ’06 to ‘09---wait ‘til you hear him and SHAY SHAY now!"

BIG BOY's resume includes recent morning stops at XHTZ/SAN DIEGO and WRDW/PHILADELPHIA.

Also joining the morning crew is Executive Producer RIC HOGERHEIDE JR., aka PRODUCER WEIRD BEARD.

HOGERHEIDE comes to WMGC with BIG BOY from ALPHA MEDIA Country KUPL (98.7 THE BULL)/PORTLAND, OR. Prior to that, HOGERHEIDE was at CBS RADIO WRDW (WIRED 96.5)/PHILADELPHIA.
