Report: Some Chicago Broadcasters Want To Drop Wisconsin County From Chicago Market Definition

NIELSEN AUDIO's CHICAGO radio market definition includes KENOSHA COUNTY, WI, but ROBERTFEDER.COM reports that some CHICAGO radio broadcasters want to drop the county from the metro definition whole adding JASPER COUNTY, IN.

The move would both make the radio market more closely aligned with the television DMA and possibly affect HUBBARD Classic Rock WDRV (THE DRIVE), which simulcasts on WWDV/ZION, IL, a signal that covers the northern reaches of the current metro and includes KENOSHA COUNTY.

The change would require nine out of twelve subscriber groups to vote to approve the redefinition.
