Fan voting has opened for the next FORD C. FRICK AWARD, the BASEBALL HALL OF FAME honor for broadcasters. On the ballot this year are a huge group of present and former baseball voices, including father-and-son entries SKIP and CHIP CARAY, several former star players (TOM SEAVER, JIM KAAT, RICHIE ASHBURN, RON SANTO, AL KALINE, GEORGE KELL, PHIL RIZZUTO, RICK MONDAY, BROOKS ROBINSON), and many contemporary names (JOSH LWEIN, JOSE MOTA, MATT VASGERSIAN) as well as some legendary broadcasters yet to be honored (JON MILLER, AL MICHAELS, TOM CHEEK, DICK ENBERG).
Fans can vote for their favorites by clicking here; the top three will automaticaly make the final ballot of 10 candidates to be announced on DECEMBER 6, with a winner chosen by FEBRUARY 27 and inducted JULY 29 in COOPERSTOWN, NY.
