WTMD/Baltimore’s March Madness Fund Drive A Success

.TOWSON UNIVERSITY Triple WTMD/BALTIMORE-ANAPOLIS recently concluded its sixth annual MUSIC MADNESS SPRING FUND DRIVE exceeding both member and financial goals while donating to a worthy cause.

Based on the March Madness college basketball tournament bracket system, 64 bands and artists were matched up, and listener votes determined which acts advanced to the next round.  THE BEATLES defeated PRINCE in the final round to claim the 2017 Championship.

BALTIMORE-based HUNGRY HARVEST committed to donating a pound of fresh produce for every pledge received and the station generated 2500 pounds of fresh produce will be donated in WTMD’s honor through their PRODUCE IN A SNAP program, helping over 250 food insecure families eat healthy.

“Our listeners love MUSIC MADNESS, and in our sixth year of the tournament, the enthusiasm continues to grow”, said WTMD GM/PD SCOTT MULLINS. “This was one of the most successful fund drives we’ve ever had and through our partnership with HUNGRY HARVEST.”
