Knapp, Engen No Longer With KTIS/Minneapolis

Contemporary Christian KTIS-A (900)/MINNEAPOLIS officially announced last week that the morning show team of CHUCK KNAPP and Station Mgr. JON ENGEN are no longer with the station. Afternoon host DAVID CHRISTIAN moved up to mornings.

KNAPP took a leave of absence in JULY to deal with family issues and then decided to retire from KTIS in early SEPTEMBER, reports the station’s web site. ENGEN also left the morning show in JULY when KNAPP departed, keeping his commitment to step down when KNAPP left, citing that it is difficult to rebuild a new on-air team when one member has left.

In addition to serving as Station Mgr., ENGEN was serving as a pastor of a local church and carrying a heavy speaking schedule. As such, he decided in mid-OCTOBER to resign from KTIS to pursue his other ministry opportunities.
